In just a few days, from 15 to 18 October, Slovenia will host the world’s most important B2B golf fair: the IGTM (International Golf Travel Market). It is undoubtedly a key and essential event for all those who work professionally in the golf industry; a meeting which establishes a calendar of appointments arranged in advance, twenty minutes in length, in order to encourage dialogue and connections between buyers, tour operators, media and companies and professionals in the golf sector.
More than three decades have passed, since London hosted the first edition of this impressive fair, although over the years, the number of exhibitors and buyers has risen from over 300 to over 1,200. In reality, this data cannot surprise us, since, after all, golf awakens passions around the globe, and it is understandable that an event of this magnitude constitutes a perfect showcase for international destinations to exhibit their best courses, services and hotels designed for golfers.
As with other thematic fairs, the IGTM allows the creation of synergies, agreements and connections between experts and companies dedicated to golf and located in different countries; these contacts that the IGTM favours can become, over time, attractive agreements, stimulating collaborations and interesting commercial opportunities whose results, in the end, will contribute to strengthen and consolidate an industry, the golf industry, increasingly prestigious, recognized and strong.
The association Mallorca Golf Island will be present at the event to show visitors the incredible range of possibilities that our paradisiacal Mediterranean island offers to golfers. With about twenty golf courses distributed in different points of the island (many of which are surprisingly close to the airport, making it easier for those who just want to come to Mallorca to play golf before returning to their country of origin), and the respective partner hotels (strategically located in the vicinity of the courses, to increase the comfort of golfers), Mallorca Golf Island never wants to miss the opportunity to present the island as a booming destination for the practice of this sport, bringing together characteristics and attributes as attractive as the landscape, good weather, contact with nature, good connections and the best services and hotels.
Beyond the typical and well-known ‘sun and beach’ offer, Mallorca features an impressive range of gastronomic, cultural, sports and leisure options to complete the stay of those who decide to spend their holidays in this unique corner of the Mediterranean.
This year, Mallorca Golf Island will be present at the IGTM, more specifically at stand 3B42, so you already know where to find us, if you attend this impressive fair which Slovenia will be organising during the next few days. We look forward to seeing you!
